1. a) One wagon consisting of 60 Tons i.e. 60000 kgs
2. b) Each bag weighs 50kgs i.e. 60000/50 = 1200 Bags
3. c) Bags to be unloaded from door 1 = 600 Nos.
4. d) Bags to be unloaded from door 2 = 600 Nos.

1. A) Time calculation & labour required for unloading of wagon

Time considers picking bags from the wagon and placing them on the conveyor required 5 sec, so in one minute, 12 bags can be placed on the conveyor from the wagon.

To unload 600 bags from door 1 – 600/12 = 50 minutes

To unload 600 bags from door 2 – 600/12 = 50 minutes

This is the approx—time considering 2 Nos. of labour on one wagon door & 2 labourers inside the warehouse. Similarly, two no’s of labour will be required from the second wagon door and 2 no’s of labour in the warehouse.

Total labour required – 8 Nos. to unload 1 wagon in 60 minus i.e 1 hour.

Total labour required – 416 Nos. to unload 52 wagon in 60 minus i.e 1 hour.

1. B) Time calculation & labour required for unloading of wagon

Time considers picking bags from the wagon and placing them on the conveyor required 10 sec, so in one minute 6 bags can be placed on the conveyor from the wagon.

To unload 600 bags from door 1 – 600/6 = 100 minutes i.e. 1 hour & 40 minutes

To unload 600 bags from door 2 – 600/6 = 100 minutes i.e. 1 hour & 40 minutes

This is the approx. time considering 1 Nos. of labour on one wagon door & 2 labourers inside the warehouse. Similarly, 1 no’s of labour will be required from the second wagon door and 2 no’s of labour in the warehouse.

Total labour required – 6 Nos. to unload 1 wagon in 100 minutes i.e 1 hour & 40 minutes.

Total labour required – 312 Nos. to unload 52 wagon in 100 minutes i.e 1 hour & 40 minutes

1. C) Time calculation & labour required for unloading of wagon

Time considers picking bags from the wagon and placing them on the conveyor required 15 sec, so in one minute 4 bags can be placed on the conveyor from the wagon.

To unload 600 bags from door 1 – 600/4 = 150 minutes i.e. 2 hour & 30 minutes

To unload 600 bags from door 2 – 600/4 = 100 minutes i.e. 2 hour & 30 minutes

This is the approx. time considering 1 Nos. of labour on one wagon door & 1 labourers inside the warehouse. Similarly, 1 no’s of labour will be required from the second wagon door and 1 no’s of labour in the warehouse.

Total labour required – 4 Nos. to unload 1 wagon in 150 minutes i.e 2 hours & 30 minutes.

Total labour required – 208 Nos. to unload 52 wagon in 150 minutes i.e 2 hours & 30 minutes.
